Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Sokolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Downtown Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Downtown Jackson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson has managed to clinch.

Sokolov has clasped his hands together around Jackson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Check out the look on Sokolov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jackson parries the strikes from Sokolov easily there. Sokolov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackson to escape.
Sokolov throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Jackson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Sokolov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

It looks like Downtown Jackson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That has opened up Downtown Jackson's cut even more.
Jackson can't escape the position.
Sokolov scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sokolov drops a big elbow. That's hurt Jackson! More shots from Sokolov and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
