Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Severino Velasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jubal Early (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Severino Velasco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jubal Early!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Early gets a clinch.
Early is pressed up against the cage. Velasco has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Early down to the mat. Early avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Early scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Velasco is defending against the submission attempts here by Early.
Early is thwarting Velasco's attempts to control the position.

Early seems to be looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Early might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Velasco kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Early looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Velasco has picked Early up and slammed him! Early can't keep hold of the triangle and Velasco manages to pass to side control!

Jubal Early showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jubal Early hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Early closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Velasco's guard.

Early drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Early as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Velasco screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Early! Nice submission victory there!
