PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Magellan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kobe Magellan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Bo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magellan throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kobe Magellan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magellan throws out a loose jab but Bo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Magellan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Magellan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Bo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Magellan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bo is in Magellan's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jim Bo wasn't active enough on the ground.
Magellan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kobe Magellan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Bo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Magellan - the referee stops the clock and Bo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Magellan. Bo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Bo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
