Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between amado mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobo Plata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plata has chosen Master of Puppets as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plata tries to bum rush mcgowan with a series of wild strikes but mcgowan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
mcgowan misses with a takedown attempt - Plata sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
mcgowan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
mcgowan tries for a takedown but Plata sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Plata connects with a good right hand that stumbles mcgowan. mcgowan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Plata misses with a jab, cross combination.
Plata avoids the body shot from mcgowan.
Plata is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Plata keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A jab-cross combination lands for Plata and sends mcgowan crashing to the mat! Plata follows him down to the mat - mcgowan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Plata breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Plata throws a series of punches but mcgowan moves out of range.
mcgowan misses with a body kick.
Plata lands a jab to mcgowan's midsection.

Plata drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Plata slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Plata's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Plata passes mcgowan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

mcgowan looks like he's trying to stand up.
mcgowan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Plata is working away from the top position though.
Plata tries to stand and escape but mcgowan is controlling the position.
Plata looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
mcgowan is looking for a sweep. Plata is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Plata counters with a nice double leg into side control. mcgowan won't be happy with that.
mcgowan can't do much from the bottom here.
mcgowan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Plata thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

mcgowan pushes Plata away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Plata gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Plata is looking to take a break and control but mcgowan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Plata decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Plata waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract mcgowan.
mcgowan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
mcgowan clinches but Plata breaks the clinch

and Plata decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in mcgowan's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Good leg kick by mcgowan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Plata swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and mcgowan is now in Plata's guard. A big mistake from Plata there, giving up the dominant position!

mcgowan wants to free his trapped foot but Plata is holding on for dear life with his legs.

mcgowan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Plata doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time mcgowan.
Plata is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Plata is refusing to be controlled, as mcgowan sits in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Plata stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from mcgowan.

Plata lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
