The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kirkham has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Walker.
Kirkham takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kirkham swings away with a body shot that misses
and Walker counters with a good low kick that Kirkham was not able to check.
Walker scores with a sloppy right hand. Kirkham should have avoided that one.
Kirkham misses with a looping right.
Kirkham scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A slow jab from Kirkham misses its intended target.
Kirkham's jab looks to have found its range, popping Walker under the eye.
Kirkham takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Jay Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Walker.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt.
Kirkham throws an off balance right hand
and Walker counters with an inside leg kick.
Kirkham swings for the body but Walker moves out of range.
Walker connects with a leg kick. Kirkham looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kirkham throws a right hand that misses
and Kirkham takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kirkham is rocked!
Kirkham drops his hands momentarily. Walker doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kirkham staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kirkham doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
