The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMarco swats away the attempt to clinch by Hornitos.
DeMarco misses with a straight left.
DeMarco looks for the body kick but Hornitos saw that one coming.
DeMarco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from DeMarco, right into the meat.
Hornitos with a poor takedown
and DeMarco counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
DeMarco misses with a body kick.
Hornitos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hornitos dodges the punch combination from DeMarco.
Hornitos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
DeMarco looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Julio Hornitos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hornitos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
DeMarco misses with an uppercut

and Hornitos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for DeMarco!
DeMarco sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hornitos wants to pass to mount but DeMarco is defending the position.
DeMarco wants to get back to full guard.

DeMarco is refusing to be controlled, as Hornitos sits in half guard.
Hornitos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control DeMarco kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DeMarco is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Hornitos is tapping! Great win for DeMarco!
