The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraw lands a nice shot that snaps Gunderson's head back.
Gunderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and McGraw counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gunderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McGraw defends well.
McGraw wants to get up but he can't break Gunderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Gunderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gunderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGraw gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGraw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gunderson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McGraw has managed to get both his arms back between Gunderson's legs - danger averted.

McGraw avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

McGraw is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McGraw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A head kick from McGraw lands but Gunderson takes it in his stride.

McGraw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and McGraw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gunderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGraw's guard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McGraw, as that shot connected.

Gunderson seems to have recovered his senses.
Gunderson seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McGraw shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gunderson is backing up but McGraw catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gunderson covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McGraw Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
