The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helmet stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Helmet wants it to stay on the feet.
Helmet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Helmet is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jackson controls the position from side control.

Jackson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Helmet knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Helmet tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it.
Helmet is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Helmet tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jackson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Jackson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jackson but it's paid off an Helmet is forced to tap! Nice work by Jackson.
