Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Kabulla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronald Kabulla!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Owens takes the fight into the clinch.
Kabulla tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Owens stops a takedown attempt from Kabulla.
Kabulla wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Owens wants to get back to striking at distance but Kabulla won't allow it.
Kabulla misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Owens decides to pull guard.

Kabulla avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Owens keeping moving, preventing Kabulla from controlling successfully.
Kabulla sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Owens's guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kabulla lands a nice short elbow.
Kabulla trying to advance position but Owens counters by regaining guard.

Owens has his foot on Kabulla's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kabulla works his way back into a safe position though.

Kabulla controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kabulla trying to control the position from guard on top but Owens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Owens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kabulla wants to control but Owens is having none of it.

Owens has control of Kabulla's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kabulla regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kabulla tries to hold on but Owens pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Owens throws some wild stikes that Kabulla manages to avoid easily.
Kabulla manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Kabulla really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Owens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kabulla is controlling Owens's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Kabulla is pressing down on Owens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Owens trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kabulla's guard.
Owens is breathing heavily.

Kabulla scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Kabulla throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Owens's waist but Owens gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kabulla off to one side.
Tim Owens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Kabulla.
Owens tries to clinch but Kabulla moves out of range.
Kabulla closes this distance looking for a takedown but Owens circles away.
Owens doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kabulla counters with a nice body kick.
Kabulla swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Owens closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Owens is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kabulla has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Owens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Owens tries to advance to mount but can't.

Owens lands a nice forearm strike.

Owens stands up and beckons Kabulla to his feet.

Owens rushes Kabulla and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Owens is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Owens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Owens counters by clinching up.

Owens decides to pull guard.
Owens controls Kabulla momentarily but Kabulla frees himself.
Owens is looking to stand up but Kabulla isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Owens clinches with his opponent.
Owens tries for a takedown but Kabulla manages to get underhooks.
Owens is trying to maintain a safe position but Kabulla gets an underhook and turns Owens into the cage.
Kabulla tries to pull guard but Owens holds him up against the cage and eventually Kabulla drops back down to his feet.

Owens is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kabulla can't fight it off and eventually Owens manages to take the fight to the floor. Kabulla looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kabulla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
