Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Micah Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mayhem Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connors tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hardy misses with a kick to the body.
Connors tries to clinch up.
Hardy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hardy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Connors.
Connors gets a takedown into half guard.
Connors perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hardy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hardy is working for a guillotine from mount but Connors frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Connors tries to lock up and control but Hardy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hardy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Connors.

Connors fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hardy looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Connors has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hardy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hardy manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hardy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hardy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hardy clinches up with Connors and pushes him back against the cage.
Hardy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Connors decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hardy's guard.
Connors wants to stand and escape but instead Hardy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Connors is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Connors has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hardy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Connors.
Connors might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Well Hardy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
