Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Ennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen All the Above as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Stevie Reyes enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Ennis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Ennis misses
and Reyes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Reyes throws a big shot that misses.
Ennis misses with a takedown
and Reyes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ennis misses with a double jab
and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ennis thinking.
Ennis lands a right hook to the body.
Reyes connects with the punch.
Ennis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ennis dodges the punch combination from Reyes.
Ennis throws a sloppy body shot
and Reyes counters with a stiff right hand.
Reyes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ennis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reyes.
Reyes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Reyes scores with a shot to the body.
Ennis misses with a jab to the body
and Reyes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Reyes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ennis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ennis thinking.
Ennis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ennis there as he acknowledges the shot.
Reyes lands a really nice looking cross but Ennis seems unphased.
Ennis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reyes counters with a three punch combo that has Ennis backing up. Ennis nods at Reyes to acknowledge the strikes.
James Ennis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ennis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reyes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Ennis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ennis is breathing heavily.
Reyes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ennis on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Reyes lands a slapping body shot.
Reyes stalks Ennis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ennis's face. Ennis staggers backwards, shaken.
Ennis throws a predictable looking body shot
and Reyes counters with a right hand to the body.
Reyes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ennis back to the cage. Reyes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ennis misses with a hook to the body
and Reyes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ennis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Reyes scores with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reyes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Donk. Reyes catches Ennis right on the button with a cross.
Ennis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ennis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jab, jab by Reyes - just one landing.
Ennis misses with a takedown
and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Reyes scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ennis misses the body punch
and Reyes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Reyes lands a jab-cross combination.
Ennis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Reyes smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Reyes with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Ennis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Reyes scores with a shot to the body.
Ennis dodges the punch combination from Reyes.
Reyes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reyes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ennis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Left hook, right uppercut from Reyes.
Reyes tries to bum rush Ennis with a series of wild strikes but Ennis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A cross from Reyes lands.
Ennis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ennis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Reyes finds it's way round the side to connect with Ennis's head.
Ennis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Reyes cracks Ennis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fighters circle momentarily. Reyes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ennis is looking to wear down Reyes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ennis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Ennis is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ennis doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Reyes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oh Ennis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! Reyes lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ennis. Ennis tries to recover but Reyes is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ennis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stevie Reyes!
