The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baran cracks Sotiropoulos with an open hand slap.
Sotiropoulos on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Baran scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sotiropoulos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Baran sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sotiropoulos throws a series of punches but Baran moves out of range.

Bob Baran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Sotiropoulos.
Baran lands a nice shot that snaps Sotiropoulos's head back.
Sotiropoulos has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baran finds it's way round the side to connect with Sotiropoulos's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baran clobbers Sotiropoulos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Baran scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sotiropoulos in his tracks.

It looks like George Sotiropoulos has been cut.
Baran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Baran comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Baran connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Sotiropoulos is rocked!
Sotiropoulos takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Baran throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sotiropoulos on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Baran buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Baran connects with the punch.
Baran feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sotiropouloss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baran lands with a kick to the temple. Sotiropoulos shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sotiropoulos is still on wobbly legs! Can Baran finish him?
Sotiropoulos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Baran is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

and Baran counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Baran lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Baran feints and then cracks Sotiropoulos's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sotiropoulos down.
Baran lands a brutal head kick. Sotiropoulos looks out on his feet and Baran throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
