Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Klimas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nobuhiro Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Breathe. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Klimas. Those never looked like landing.
Nakamura shoots in looking for a takedown but Klimas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nakamura's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Good leg kick by Nakamura there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nakamura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nakamura shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nakamura showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klimas is not content to let Nakamura control the position.
Klimas is trying to control but can't.
Klimas wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nakamura connects with a nice short shot to Klimas's temple.
Klimas is refusing to be controlled, as Nakamura sits in half guard.

Nakamura is looking to advance position but Klimas won't allow it.

Klimas wants to get back to full guard.
Nakamura is keen to just control but Klimas is a slippery customer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Klimas checks a low kick from Nakamura.

Nakamura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Klimas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nakamura thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nakamura wants to pass the guard but Klimas is defending well.
Nakamura passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Klimas!
Klimas is working to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Nakamura connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Klimas is bucking up trying to escape but Nakamura cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
