Holliday has chosen Andreas Johnson - Glorious as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Holliday blocks a low kick nicely.
Gabriel tries to close the distance and clinch but Holliday swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gabriel throws a leg kick but Holliday moved away.
Holliday with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gabriel to score with a decent uppercut.

and Holliday counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Holliday drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gabriel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gabriel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gabriel!
Holliday takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Gabriel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Holliday is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gabriel in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Gabriel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Holliday sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Holliday is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gabriel off and has taken his back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Holliday is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
