Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Kaikkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystian Kaczala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaikkonen comes to the cage accompanied by Duran Duran - WIld Boys. Otto Kaikkonen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Otto Kaikkonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Krystian Kaczala!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaczala keeps the fight on the outside.
Otto Kaikkonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaikkonen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kaczala.
Kaikkonen is looking to clinch but Kaczala is avoiding it.
Kaikkonen tries to clinch up but Kaczala circles away and keeps his distance.

Kaczala feints and as Kaikkonen raises his hands in defense, Kaczala changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kaczala throws a big right hand that misses.
Kaczala is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kaikkonen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kaczala is controlling him.
Kaczala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaikkonen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kaikkonen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaczala on the ground.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kaczala wants to free his trapped foot but Kaikkonen is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Krystian Kaczala has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kaikkonen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kaczala counters by clinching up.

Kaczala jumps guard but Kaikkonen stands there with Kaczala around his waist. Kaczala gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kaikkonen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Kaikkonen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kaczala circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kaikkonen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kaczala swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kaikkonen is breathing heavily.

Kaczala looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kaikkonen!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kaczala throws a sloppy head kick and Kaikkonen moves out of range easily.
Kaikkonen tries to clinch up but Kaczala circles away and keeps his distance.

Kaczala jumps guard but Kaikkonen stands there with Kaczala around his waist. Kaczala gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Kaczala counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kaikkonen!
Kaczala lands a big elbow.

Kaczala has hold of Kaikkonen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kaikkonen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kaczala takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kaikkonen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kaczala.

Kaczala sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kaikkonen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kaczala working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kaikkonen turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kaczala off and cradles Kaikkonen's limp body as Kaczala celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Krystian Kaczala!
