PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Illidan Stormrage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuai Lai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lai has chosen CKY - Chinese Rap as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kuai Lai was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stormrage fails with the takedown
and Lai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Illidan Stormrage has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stormrage wants to stand but Lai is controlling the position.
Lai passes Stormrage's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stormrage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lai steps into range and cracks Stormrage with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Stormrage flops backwards and Lai dives into his guard looking to finish!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lai lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stormrage has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stormrage and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kuai Lai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Stormrage steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lai. That one must have hurt.

Lai turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Kuai Lai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stormrage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Stormrage is rocked!
Lai gets to his feet and stands over Stormrage, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Stormrage felt that one! Lai unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Stormrage from any more punishment!
