Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez comes into the arena with So Cold By Breaking Benjamin blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodriguez as he avoids it easily.

Pan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rodriguez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rodriguez stalks Pan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pan's face. Pan staggers backwards, shaken.
Rodriguez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Pan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pan closes the distance but Rodriguez moves to the side
and Rodriguez counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Rodriguez leaves Pan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pan throws a chopping leg kick but Rodriguez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Pan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodriguez sprawls well. Rodriguez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pan gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodriguez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pan eats them both and turns towards Rodriguez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Peter Pan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodriguez thuds his right hand into Pan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rodriguez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Rodriguez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pan thinking.
Pan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rodriguez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pan.

Pan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rodriguez scores with a hook to the body. Pan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rodriguez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rodriguez jabs Pan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rodriguez lands a slapping body shot.
Pan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Rodriguez is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rodriguez connects with the punch.
Rodriguez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rodriguez stuns Pan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Rodriguez connects with a nice looking jab.
Rodriguez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rodriguez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rodriguez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rodriguez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Pan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rodriguez counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Rodriguez dips to his left and cracks Pan with an uppercut!
Rodriguez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rodriguez duly obliges.

Pan is rocked!
Rodriguez lands a jab to the nose.
Pan is still on wobbly legs! Can Rodriguez finish him?

and Rodriguez counters with a one-two to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rodriguez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pan takes one to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodriguez is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Pan like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Pan from another fist facial!
