Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snap Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bakreek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Bottoms Up by Trey Songz f. Nicki Minaj. Jeff Bakreek has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Snap Davis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snap Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Bakreek!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakreek displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Snap Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bakreek wants to sweep but no luck.
Davis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bakreek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bakreek looking for a sweep. Not yet Bakreek, not yet.
Bakreek pulls Davis in close to prevent any damage.
Davis throws a big right hand that misses.
Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bakreek is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeff Bakreek was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Bakreek counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Davis tries for a takedown but Bakreek circles away easily
and Bakreek counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bakreek counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Snap Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bakreek swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Davis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Davis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bakreek is proving hard to escape from.
Davis connects with a couple of short punches.
Davis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bakreek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Davis trying to control but Bakreek is working from the bottom.

Bakreek uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Bakreek jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bakreek circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bakreek counters with a three punch combo that has Davis backing up. Davis nods at Bakreek to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bakreek lands with a good body shot.
Bakreek scores with a hook to the body. Davis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Davis fails with the takedown
letting Bakreek counter with a right hand.
Bakreek misses with an uppercut

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bakreek won't be happy with that.
Bakreek is looking to reverse the position.
Bakreek dodges the ground and pound from Davis.
An elbow from Davis crashes against the mat.

Davis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Davis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bakreek is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bakreek wants to control but Davis postures up.
Bakreek is trying to work for a sweep but Davis has mounted him!

Davis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bakreek has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Davis is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bakreek has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bakreek!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bakreek keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davis's head.
Davis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Davis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bakreek lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bakreek working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bakreek passes easily into side control. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bakreek lands some shots froms side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Snap Davis dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Davis doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bakreek counters with a left to the body.
Bakreek throws a right hand that misses

and Davis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bakreek's guard now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Davis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bakreek is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Davis, into his guard.
Davis is trying to control the position but Bakreek postures up.
Snap Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Davis striking off his back but it's not causing Bakreek any problems.
Bakreek trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bakreek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bakreek lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bakreek being controlled here momentarily.

Bakreek lying in Davis's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Davis decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Bakreek taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
