Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monty Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jobe Nkemakolam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Monster by Skillet blaring out of the sound system. Jobe Nkemakolam has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Monty Brown's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jobe Nkemakolam!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown with a nice cross.
Brown checks a leg kick nicely.

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nkemakolam won't be happy with that.
Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Nkemakolam is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brown connects with a decent elbow.

Brown sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Nkemakolam is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brown working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Brown trying to control the position but Nkemakolam is working away.
Brown has knee on belly momentarily but Nkemakolam bucks him off and regains half guard.
Nkemakolam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Brown is thwarting Nkemakolam's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is working for a submission of some sort.
Brown perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Nkemakolam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nkemakolam wants to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brown content to control rather than advance.
Nkemakolam is trying to get back to full guard.
Nkemakolam desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brown throws a strike but Nkemakolam avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Nkemakolam looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there.
Nkemakolam keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Brown pushing down on Nkemakolam's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nkemakolam avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brown.
Brown drops an elbow to the side of Nkemakolam's head.
Nkemakolam trying to hold on to Brown's head to control him but Brown postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Brown passes to full mount!
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nkemakolam is squirming around, avoiding Brown's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monty Brown dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Brown checks a leg kick nicely.
Brown rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nkemakolam counters with a good, hard body kick but Brown shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Nkemakolam.
Brown misses with a left hand
and Nkemakolam makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Brown misses with a right hand
and Nkemakolam counters with a stiff right hand.
Brown misses with an uppercut.
Monty Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nkemakolam throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nkemakolam moves away.
Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nkemakolam.
Nkemakolam does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Brown clinches.
Nkemakolam swings wildly with an uppercut but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nkemakolam has a couple of punches blocked by Brown.
A nice right hand lands inside from Nkemakolam.
Nkemakolam throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Browns head.
Brown takes a shot to the head.
Nkemakolam lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
Nkemakolam lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Brown misses with a punch to the body.
Nkemakolam lands on the inside with an uppercut.


Brown is rocked!
A nice left hand lands by Nkemakolam.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nkemakolam presses Brown against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Brown seems to have got his legs back now.
Brown blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Nkemakolam scores with a shoulder strike.
Brown tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nkemakolam's elbow.
Brown throws a punch but it's blocked by Nkemakolam.
A short right from Nkemakolam.
Still in the clinch, Nkemakolam scores with a nice short uppercut.
Brown misses with the head strike.
Brown blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Brown scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Brown blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Nkemakolam misses with some punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nkemakolam pushes Brown back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nkemakolam lands a right hand that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
Nkemakolam lands a body punch.
Nkemakolam gets through Brown's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Nkemakolam.
Nkemakolam lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Nkemakolam working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Nkemakolam unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Brown! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Nkemakolam is unloading with more strikes now! Brown drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jobe Nkemakolam! Jobe Nkemakolam retains his heavyweight title!
