The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Panot leaves Machida Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Panot.
Panot throws a sloppy head kick and Machida Alves moves out of range easily.
Pendong Panot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Panot manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Machida Alves on his heels. He'll look to pass Machida Alves's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
