The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Read looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Good leg kick by Parker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Read wants to clinch but Parker slips to the side
and Parker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Parker scores with a head kick. Read tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Parker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Read at a distance.
Read takes a kick to the side of the head.
Parker lands with a cross.
Parker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Read. Read circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Read ducks right into an uppercut from Parker.
Parker throws a front kick that sends Read stumbling back into the cage.

Parker shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Parker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Read is rocked!
Parker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Parker scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Parker moves into full mount! Read won't be happy about that!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker landing strikes, looking to finish!
Parker loads up with a big shot that hurts Read! He's pulled Parker in close but Parker has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Read survive? More strikes from Parker and Read is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
