PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jenkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TNT. Walker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fight Night. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jenkins counters with a nice uppercut.
Walker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jenkins's sensitive parts.
Wandy Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jenkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Walker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jenkins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Walker tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jenkins circles away quickly and effectively.

Jenkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Walker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jenkins is in Walker's guard.
Walker has momentary wrist control but Jenkins slips an elbow through the middle.
Walker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Walker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jenkins!

Walker wants to control the pace but Jenkins is squirming around nicely.

and Walker counters with a three punch combo that has Jenkins backing up. Jenkins nods at Walker to acknowledge the strikes.
Walker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Walker on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Walker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jenkins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jenkins defends it easily.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.

Jenkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wandy Walker has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jenkins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walker wants to slow Jenkins down by chopping away at his legs.

Walker stalks Jenkins and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jenkins's face. Jenkins staggers backwards, shaken.

Walker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jenkins napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jenkins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jenkins is looking to improve his position but Walker isn't that keen on the idea.

Jenkins has left one of his arms exposed and Walker doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jenkins screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
