Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Anstey counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ball tries for a takedown but Anstey circles away easily
and Anstey counters with a stiff right hand.
Anstey circles away from the clinch attempt
and Anstey counters with a nice uppercut.

Anstey pushes Ball up against the cage in a clinch.

Ball manages to break the clinch.
Anstey fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anstey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ball, pushing him back against the cage.
Ball jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anstey walks away with a smile on his face. Ball gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ball misses with a takedown

and Anstey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anstey.
Corwin Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Homer Ball.
Anstey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Anstey lands a couple of digs.
Anstey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Anstey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ball keeping moving, preventing Anstey from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ball not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ball throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Anstey is working Ball over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anstey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anstey throws a strike but Ball rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Anstey scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Anstey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Anstey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ball doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anstey.
Anstey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Anstey wants to free his trapped foot but Ball is holding on for dear life with his legs.
