Brothers has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brothers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Q Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Q Jones closes the distance and pushes Brothers back into the cage.

Brothers changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Q Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brothers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Q Jones counters with a body kick.
Shane Q Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Brothers.
Q Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brothers on the side of the head.
Brothers avoids the head kick by Q Jones.
Q Jones scores with a head kick.

Q Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Q Jones unloads a knee to the mid-section. Brothers lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Brothers looks gassed!
Q Jones drops Brothers with a big knee straight up the middle! Brothers is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Brothers is rocked!
It looks like Mario Brothers has been cut.
Q Jones fakes the body blow, causing Brothers to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Brothers goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
