Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Suvorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suvorov has chosen World in Conflict - Polyushko-Pole. as his entrance music. Alexandr Suvorov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suvorov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Suvorov blocks a head kick by Sagat.

Suvorov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sagat wants to get back to his feet but Suvorov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Suvorov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Suvorov lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Sagat on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sagat tries to get out of the position.
Suvorov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Suvorov works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Suvorov slows the pace down in half guard.
Suvorov uses his free foot to push down on Sagat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sagat.
Suvorov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Suvorov won't let Sagat get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suvorov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Suvorov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Suvorov extends the arm and Sagat is forced to tap!
