Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Devils Obstacle!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Obstacle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Emelianenko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Obstacle checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Emelianenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Emelianenko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Obstacle shoots and misses
and Emelianenko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Emelianenko.

Obstacle wants to control the position but Emelianenko says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Emelianenko works his way into full mount!
Obstacle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Emelianenko throws some wild stikes that Obstacle manages to avoid easily.
Obstacle is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Emelianenko landing punches.
Emelianenko avoids the attempt from Obstacle to control.
Obstacle is in a horrible position here. Emelianenko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Emelianenko wants to control the pace but Obstacle is squirming around nicely.

Emelianenko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Obstacle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Emelianenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Emelianenko postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Obstacle in real trouble here! The ref calls for Obstacle to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
