The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasqs moves out of range as Kordic strikes.
Velasqs throws a head kick that misses.
Nice body kick from Velasqs.
John Kordic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velasqs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kordic misses with a straight left.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kordic swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kordic swings for the body but Velasqs moves out of range.

Velasqs controls Kordic momentarily but Kordic frees himself.

Velasqs pushes a forearm under Kordic's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kordic is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
