Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Moye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hit the Lights by Metallica kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mickey Henson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Henson feints and as Moye raises his hands in defense, Henson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Henson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moye works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Henson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moye is one step ahead there.

Henson has his foot on Moye's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moye works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moye can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Derek Moye will probably get the nod.

Moye is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moye wants to control but Henson is keeping him busy.
Henson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moye is working away from the top position though.

Henson wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Henson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Henson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Henson clobbers Moye with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Henson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
