The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filikovic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Filikovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filikovic looks to land a combination. Alvares sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
An inside leg kick lands from Filikovic.
Filikovic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Alvares looks gassed!
Filikovic throws a head kick but Alvares moves out of range.
Danny Alvares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alvares sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Filikovic fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alvares has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Filikovic lands a big head kick that sends Alvares tumbling to the mat! Filikovic takes a step backwards and waves Alvares back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Danny Alvares has been cut.
Filikovic cracks the inside of Alvares's front leg.
Alvares on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Alvares seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Filikovic shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Alvares is backing up but Filikovic catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Alvares covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Filikovic Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marko Filikovic!
