Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quintin Quad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Gnomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gnomi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quad paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Quad misses with a hook. Gnomi ducked under it nicely.
Gnomi throws a looping overhand right but Quad ducks down to avoid it.

Gnomi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Quad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gnomi.
Quad scores with a jab.
Gnomi throws a head kick that misses.
Gnomi throws a half hearted mid kick.
Yoshi Gnomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gnomi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gnomi tries to free his leg and advance position but Quad is retaining full guard.
Gnomi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Quad is proving hard to escape from.
Gnomi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Quad manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Quad lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Quad throws a right hand that Gnomi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gnomi also avoids with ease.

Gnomi tries to land a front kick but Quad steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Quad counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Quad thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Quad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gnomi is trying to defend but Quad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Quad is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gnomi is just riding it out for now. Quad eventually gives up the hold.

Gnomi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quad to the mat! Quad manages to get full guard.
Gnomi is breathing heavily.
Gnomi wants to get up but he can't break Quad's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Quintin Quad will probably get the nod.
That's time! Quad's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Quad takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gnomi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Quad.
Gnomi jabs Quad right on the nose. Quad blinks but takes it well.
Gnomi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gnomi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Quad shoots in and drives through. Gnomi sprawls well.
Gnomi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Quad counters with a straight right hand.
Quad throws a right and a left that Gnomi avoids nicely.
Gnomi moves to clinch but Quad breaks away
and Quad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Quad on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Gnomi misses with an uppercut
and Quad counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Quad just misses with a punch to the body.
Gnomi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Quad throws a jab but it's blocked by Gnomi.
Gnomi throws a low kick but Quad moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gnomi enables Quad to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gnomi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Quad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gnomi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Quad off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Quad closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Quad not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Quad wants to control but Gnomi is keeping him busy.

Quad trying to mount his opponent but Gnomi defends it.
Quad works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gnomi tries to buck Quad off but he can't manage it.

Quad goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gnomi turns into him and now he's in Quad's guard.

Gnomi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Quad looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Quad looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Quad!
Gnomi pushes Quad away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Quad gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Quad thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
