Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Tapp!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mears pinned against the cage. Mears gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tapp looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A combination from Mears does no damage.
Mears throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mears closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mears manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mears looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick by Mears - that's a beauty! Tapp is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Mears can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
