Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conor Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colin Marshall!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Conor Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Marshall counters by moving into the clinch.
Jackson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson misses with a double jab.

and Marshall counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Conor Jackson has been cut.

and Marshall counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marshall.
Marshall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Marshall has picked Jackson up - he's going for a ride! Marshall dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Marshall decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Marshall scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Horrible takedown by Marshall or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.
Jackson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Colin Marshall has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marshall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Marshall is in Jackson's guard.
Marshall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Marshall is pushing down on Jackson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jackson is fighting to maintain full guard but Marshall has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marshall is pressing down on Jackson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jackson is holding on for now.
Marshall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marshall is stalling here. Jackson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Marshall seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jackson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marshall gets back to half guard.

Marshall has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Jackson misses with a double jab
and Marshall counters with a big head kick but Jackson shrugs it off.
Marshall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Jackson misses with a combination
and Marshall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Marshall closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Marshall counters with a body kick that stops Jackson in his tracks momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colin Marshall dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Marshall has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.

Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Marshall successfully pulls guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Marshall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Marshall wriggles free and stands up.
Jackson feints a jab promting Marshall to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Marshall slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jackson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

An inside leg kick lands from Marshall.

Marshall shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Marshall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Marshall passes to side control.
Marshall lands some shots froms side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Marshall is putting a hurting on Jackson here, landing some big shots from side control.

Marshall is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Marshall remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Marshall misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jackson is pushing Marshall's head away, looking to escape. Marshall manages to hold on to the position though.
Marshall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

Colin Marshall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Marshall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Conor Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colin Marshall.
