The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien tries a head kick but it misses.
O Brien shoots in for a double leg but Eriksen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
O Brien tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eriksen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten O Brien somewhat.

Eriksen drives through and clinches with O Brien against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by O Brien.
Eriksen keeps control of O Brien as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Eriksen stalling.
O Brien is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
O Brien tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Eriksen pushes O Brien back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
O Brien has had enough of the clinch but Eriksen keeps him there for the moment.
O Brien cracks Eriksen with a nice body shot.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
