Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Face Crook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Sood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sood has chosen Rap Beat as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Face Crook!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Sood!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crook scores with the left hand. Sood knows he should have avoided that one.
Sood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crook tries to avoid it but Sood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crook to the ground. Crook escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crook scores with a shot to the body.
Sood darts in trying to clinch
and Sood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sood avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sood throws a right hand that misses
and Crook counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sood tries to clinch but Crook is having none of it.
Crook misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crook throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sood misses with a head kick.
Sood throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crook counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jordan Sood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crook fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sood manages to avoid it.
A low kick from Crook misses
and Sood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sood bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Crook connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Face Crook is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Face Crook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Sood.
Crook misses with a body shot.
Sood moves in looking to clinch but Crook pushes him off.
Sood shoots in and drives through. Crook sprawls well.
Crook digs a good hook to Sood's body.
Sood darts in trying to clinch
letting Crook counter with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sood misses with an uppercut.
Sood rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Crook counters with a stiff right hand.
Sood tries to clinch but Crook is having none of it.
Sood throws a right hand that misses
enabling Crook to counter with a crisp jab.
Sood tries to clinch but Crook moves away
and Crook counters with a straight right hand.
Sood goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Crook swings widly with a right hand
and Sood counters with a good, hard body kick but Crook shrugs it off.
Crook misses with a hook. Sood ducked under it nicely.
Sood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Crook manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sood misses with an uppercut
and Crook counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Crook jabs Sood to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Crook missing with a left hand there. Sood was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crook circles away from the clinch attempt.
Crook swings widly with a right hand

and Sood counters with a shoot takedown. Crook fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sood content to stall in guard here.
Crook is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Crook on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crook tries to get out of the position.
Crook is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sood won't allow Crook to sweep him here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sood working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Crook's head.
Sood trying to control but Crook is working from the bottom.
Crook has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sood has passed into side control.
Crook is trying to get back to half guard.
Sood looks up at the clock and then as Crook takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sood smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Sood has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Crook avoids the head kick by Sood.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Sood dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Crook stuffs the takedown attempt from Sood. Sood gets slowly back to his feet.
Crook scores with a jab to the head.
Sood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Crook manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Crook misses with a body punch
and Sood makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Crook really felt that one!
Sood misses with a head kick.
Sood lands a brutal head kick. Crook looks out on his feet and Sood throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Jordan Sood!
