Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Morozov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricky Ross!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morozov misses with a kick to the body.
Ross lands a nice looking body kick.

Ross moves into the clinch successfully.
Morozov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ross smiles and moves away.
Ross avoids the head kick by Morozov.
A lazy left from Ross finds it's target.

It looks like Pavel Morozov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morozov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morozov is breathing heavily.
Morozov throws a series of punches but Ross moves out of range.
Ross scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Morozov enables Ross to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Morozov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Morozov is looking to stand up but Ross isn't so interested in that idea.

Ross postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morozov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ross, into his guard.

Ross pushes Morozov off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Morozov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ross circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Morozov to the canvas! Morozov doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ross keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Ross!
