PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rambo Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Boll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ice cube - Steal The Show . Rambo Jack looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boll gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Boll feints a jab promting Jack to slip. Boll then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jack slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Rambo Jack has been cut.
Boll tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jack paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boll lands an elbow that stopped Jack in his tracks for a moment.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Boll obliges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jack is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Boll has hold of one of Jack's legs. Jack is fighting the takedown attempt but Boll gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jack is working an open guard so Boll takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A left and a right from Jack both land. Nice combination.

Boll changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jack looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boll postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The ground and pound from Boll seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Boll tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boll has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Boll wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jack, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Boll is trying to get an arm triangle but Jack is defending well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Boll is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jack to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jack shrugs it off.

Let's hope that Boll has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
