Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Holden Caufield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valio Mashinata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caufield comes to the cage accompanied by Let Me See Dat. Mashinata has chosen Dinosaur song as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mashinata slips a jab and a cross from Caufield.
Caufield walks into a stiff left hand from Mashinata.
Mashinata's corner calls for a 1-2. Mashinata obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Caufield fails to land with a series of punches.
Caufield swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mashinata slips a straight right by Caufield.
Mashinata will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Caufield looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mashinata misses the jab.

Caufield moves into the clinch successfully.
Mashinata lands a left hand that snaps the head of Caufield backwards.
Mashinata drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Caufield gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Caufield gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Mashinata is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Caufield seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mashinata does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Caufield lands strikes from half guard.
Caufield thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mashinata's head.
Mashinata is trying to maintain the position but Caufield is very close to passing his half guard.
Caufield winds up and cracks Mashinata with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Mashinata gets full guard.
Caufield connects with a couple of short punches.

Mashinata looking for a guillotine here but Caufield defends easily.
Mashinata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Caufield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mashinata swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mashinata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Caufield can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Caufield pushes down on Mashinata's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Caufield passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mashinata!
