Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taro Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Plague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima comes to the cage accompanied by a. Plague has chosen Kanye West-Runaway as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taro Mishima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cyrus Plague!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plague avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mishima tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Plague was well out of range. Poor timing from Mishima.
Plague misses with an uppercut. Mishima saw that one coming.
Plague shoots and misses
and Mishima counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mishima explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Plague moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Plague avoids the body shot from Mishima.
Mishima misses with the combination.
Plague thows a body shot but no joy.
Plague on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mishima swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Plague.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mishima enables Plague to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mishima manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mishima bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Plague's guard.
Plague utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mishima wants to pass the guard but Plague is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Taro Mishima wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Plague counters with a single leg into guard. Mishima didn't expect that.

Mishima escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Plague gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Plague throws a strike but Mishima rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Plague manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mishima tries to lock up and control but Plague gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Plague lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Mishima avoids a strike by Plague and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Plague's guard! Fantastic escape!

Plague looking for a sweep. Not yet Plague, not yet.
Mishima drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Plague manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mishima has Plague in his guard.
Plague working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Plague trying to control the position from guard on top but Mishima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Plague with a nice head shot there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Plague cracks Mishima with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Taro Mishima will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Plague misses with a hook
and Mishima makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mishima swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Plague misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mishima looks to land a right hand but Plague moved out of range.

Mishima bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mishima takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Mishima throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Mishima. Plague shrugs it off though.
Plague throws a lazy right hand but Mishima sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Mishima darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Mishima feints and then cracks Plague's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Plague down.

and Mishima counters with a low kick, right behind Plague 's knee.
Plague is breathing heavily.
Plague looks to land a left hand but Mishima moved out of range nicely.
Plague steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mishima. That one must have hurt.
Plague misses with a combination
and Mishima counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Plague is rocked!
Plague switches off momentarily and Mishima cracks him with a monster right hand! Plague topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Mishima dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Mishima!
