Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Mendoza!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Brigo!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brigo fails to land the takedown.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mendoza crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brigo - the referee stops the clock and Mendoza gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brigo. Mendoza manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Brigo throws a poor cross that misses
and Mendoza counters with a good low kick that Brigo was not able to check.
Mendoza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brigo throws a hook but Mendoza blocks it.
Mendoza takes a swing at Brigo's ribcage but misses.
Mendoza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brigo.

Brigo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mendoza swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brigo.
Brigo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Mendoza counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brigo throws a body punch but Mendoza moves out of range.

That kick from Mendoza tenderised Brigo's leg. Brigo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brigo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mendoza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brigo somewhat.
Hector Mendoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Brigo.

Mendoza feints and then cracks Brigo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brigo down.

Mendoza wants to clinch up but Brigo keeps it at a distance.
Brigo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Brigo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mendoza finds it's way round the side to connect with Brigo's head.

Brigo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mendoza eats them both and turns towards Brigo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Brigo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Brigo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mendoza looks to score with a jab to the body but Brigo is just out of range.

and Mendoza counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brigo is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Mendoza circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Brigo drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Mendoza follows Brigo to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
