Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Engine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Fellows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Engine is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thomas Engine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Damien Fellows!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fellows shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Engine napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Engine is trying to get back to half guard.
Fellows scoring with punches and elbows.
Engine manages to get back to half guard.
Engine tries to roll over but Fellows keeps him under control.
Engine makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Engine.
Engine is trying to keep Fellows in close.

Fellows postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Engine is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fellows, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fellows lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Engine!

Engine regains half guard.
Fellows working the head and body with strikes.

Fellows looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Engine slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Engine throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Fellows stopping the sweep attempt from Engine.

Fellows drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fellows jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fellows throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Engine works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Fellows thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fellows stands up over Engine, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Engine trying to keep a closed guard but Fellows is proving a slippery customer.

Fellows avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Engine has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fellows can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Engine had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fellows defends it easily.
Fellows with a nice head shot there.
Fellows postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Fellows is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Engine gets caught flat footed, as Fellows shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Engine is looking to sweep but instead, Fellows has passed into half guard.
Fellows has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Engine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fellows doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fellows manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Engine isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fellows stacks Engine on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fellows!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Engine takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Engine tries to buck Fellows off but Fellows is having none of it.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Engine takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Engine is wriggling around trying to escape.

Engine tries to lock up and control but Fellows gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Fellows looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Fellows lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Engine wants to hold on but Fellows pushes him away.
Engine is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Engine is in a horrible position here. Fellows smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fellows cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Damien Fellows showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fellows is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Engine can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Damien Fellows is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Fellows has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
