The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SauruS misses with a body shot
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and SauruS connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but SauruS bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract SauruS.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
SauruS swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
SauruS scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
SauruS gets the takedown into side control.
SauruS prevents Smith from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
SauruS is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
SauruS wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smith, who protects the arm well.
Smith is looking for a sweep.
SauruS misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for SauruS on the ground.
SauruS trying to control the position but Smith is working away.
SauruS slows the pace down.
SauruS has an Americana. Smith didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! SauruS is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if SauruS hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
