Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Krauss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shogun Rua Minotoro!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krauss circles away from the clinch attempt
and Krauss counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Krauss shoots in and bounces Minotoro off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Minotoro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Krauss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Minotoro on the ground.

Minotoro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Krauss's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Krauss throwing shots but Minotoro is blocking nicely.
Krauss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Minotoro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Krauss jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Minotoro is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Minotoro and Krauss has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Krauss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Minotoro sprawls well initially but Krauss persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Minotoro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Krauss is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Krauss wants to control from the top but Minotoro keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krauss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Krauss postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Minotoro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Krauss, into his guard.

Michael Krauss showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Krauss has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
