The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunga moves out of range of the leg kick from deVries.
Dunga cracks deVries with a good jab.
Dunga darts in trying to clinch
and deVries counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dunga swings and misses with a shot to the body
and deVries connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
deVries throws a poor cross that misses
and Dunga counters with a left to the body.
Dunga lands a jab to the head.
deVries circles away from the clinch attempt

and deVries holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dunga is trying to push deVries away but deVries has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for deVries.

Dunga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dunga tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and deVries makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Dunga throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and deVries counters with a big head kick but Dunga shrugs it off.
Dunga misses with a lunging right hand
and deVries counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and deVries counters with a slapping leg kick.

and deVries holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
deVries misses with an elbow over the top.
deVries throws a knee to the head but misses.
deVries swings wildly with an uppercut but Dunga uses good head movement to avoid it.
deVries misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dunga is trying to force a seperation but deVries has the dominant position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dunga - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Dunga pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dunga throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and deVries counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dunga tries to clinch up
and deVries counters with a thumping low kick.

Dunga swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and deVries counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Dunga has deVries up against the cage in a clinch.
deVries with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Dunga can't break the clinch.
deVries tries a knee to the head but Dunga blocks it.

Dunga manages to break the clinch.

Dunga tries to keep at a distance but deVries has taken the fight into the clinch.

deVries escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and deVries makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

deVries throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
deVries missing with a left hand there. Dunga was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
deVries wants to clinch.
deVries misses with an uppercut. Dunga saw that one coming.
deVries throws a lazy head kick
and Dunga counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dunga throws a series of punches but deVries avoids them all with ease.

and Dunga counters with a nice right hand that sends deVries toppling to the canvas! deVries scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dunga finish him?!
