The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denai misses with a right hand
and Huo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Denai lands with a right hand.

It looks like Meng Huo has been cut.
Huo loads up on a big right hand but Denai slips the punch.
Huo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Denai throws a head kick that half lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Denai throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Denai rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Huo counters with a left and a right that stings Denai.
Greg Denai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denai swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Meng Huo's cut is getting worse.
Huo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Denai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Denai looks to land a left hand but Huo moved out of range nicely.
Huo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Denai throws a head kick that half lands.
Huo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Denai.
Denai fails with the takedown
and Huo counters with a three punch combo that has Denai backing up. Denai nods at Huo to acknowledge the strikes.
Denai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Huo thows a body shot but no joy.
An inside leg kick lands from Denai.

Huo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Huo is breathing heavily.
Huo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Meng Huo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Denai sizes up Huo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Meng Huo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Denai lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Denai lands with a slapping head kick.
A head kick from Denai lands but Huo takes it in his stride.
Denai dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Huo. That did some damage!
A solid leg kick lands there for Denai.
Denai cracks a nice hook into Huo's ribs.
Huo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Jeez, Meng Huo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
