The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Ceaser. Beautiful body shot.
Evan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ceaser counters with a straight right hand.
Evan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ceaser counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Evan thinking.
Ceaser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ceaser somewhat.

Evan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ceaser to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ceaser pushes down on Evan 's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ceaser seems to be working for a kimura but Evan defends the submission attempt.
Ceaser with the ground and pound but Evan uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Ceaser throws a strike but Evan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Evan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ceaser trying to keep a closed guard but Evan is proving a slippery customer.
Ceaser is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Evan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ceaser looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ceaser is defended easily by Evan .
Ceaser throws a right hand that misses
and Evan counters with a three punch combo that has Ceaser backing up. Ceaser nods at Evan to acknowledge the strikes.
