The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dodson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bishop did well to prevent Dodson getting side control.
Bishop is trying to stand.
Dodson slows the pace down in half guard.
Bishop pushes Dodson off looking to stand but Dodson dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dodson slips a nice elbow through Bishop's hands, connecting with Bishop's forehead.

Bishop tries to kick Dodson off but Dodson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Dodson is nestled in close to Bishop, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
