Forward circles away from the clinch attempt
and Forward connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pontes shoots for a double leg takedown but Forward sprawls well. He's pushed Pontes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A combination from Pontes does no damage.

Forward rushes Pontes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Forward jumps guard and drags Pontes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
