Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miles Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pulver Toast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miles Perry has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miles Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pulver Toast!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Perry misses with a body punch
and Toast counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Perry throws out a loose jab but Toast uses good head movement to avoid it.
Toast tries to clinch up but Perry circles away and keeps his distance.
Toast steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Perry.

Toast shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Perry looking for subs from the bottom but Toast mounts him!
Perry is desperately trying to improve his position but Toast has a good base and remains in mount.
Perry is working hard here to advance position.

Toast is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Perry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Perry keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Toast can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Perry is looking to escape.

Toast has control of Perry's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Perry regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Perry wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Toast.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Perry is looking to get to half guard.

Toast jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Perry manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Perry tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Toast thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Toast working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Toast is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perry has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Toast wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perry, who protects the arm well.
Toast sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Perry is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Toast is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Perry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Toast wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perry keeps working.
Perry is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A combination from Perry does no damage.
Perry cracks a nice hook into Toast's ribs.

Perry gets caught flat footed, as Toast shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Perry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toast doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Toast manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

You can see the frustration on Perry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ground and pound from Toast seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

A lull in the action here.
Perry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Toast wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Toast is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Perry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Toast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Toast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The strikes coming from Toast are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Perry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toast on the ground.

Pulver Toast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Perry rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Toast moves into the clinch.
Perry swings wildly with an uppercut but Toast uses good head movement to avoid it.
Perry fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Perry prevents a takedown attempt there.
Toast looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Toast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toast scores with a jab. Perry acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Perry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Toast tries to bum rush Perry with a series of wild strikes but Perry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Toast misses with a head kick.
Perry displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Toast throws out the jab.

Perry throws an off balance right hand
and Perry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Toast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Perry sprawls well initially but Toast persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Toast is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perry doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Toast.
Toast takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pulver Toast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Toast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
