The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derp throws a left and a right that both miss
and Carwin counters with a nice uppercut.
No luck for Carwin with that takedown attempt.
Derp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carwin circles away quickly and effectively.

Carwin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Derp wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A head punch on the inside from Derp fails to land.

Carwin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carwin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Carwin throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Carwin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Derp!

Carwin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Derp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Derp shrugs it off.

Carwin is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Carwin extends the arm and Derp is forced to tap!
