Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samuraimo Rassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rassi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Samurai Jack- Mortal Kombat. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Samuraimo Rassi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rick Diaz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rassi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Diaz is out of range.
Rassi misses the shot to the body.
Rassi tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it.

and Diaz counters with a single leg into guard. Rassi didn't expect that.
Diaz throws a strike but Rassi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Diaz has a closed guard, preventing Rassi from standing up.

Diaz has his foot on Rassi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rassi works his way back into a safe position though.

Rassi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.
Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rassi manages to get himself to full guard.

Rassi has his feet on Diaz's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rassi obliges.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rassi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Diaz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rassi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rassi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Samuraimo Rassi will probably get the nod.

Rassi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Diaz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Diaz is landing with some decent strikes but Rassi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz is working for a guillotine from mount but Rassi frees his head quite easily.
Diaz unloads with some shots from mount but Rassi bucks and avoids them well.
Rassi wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Diaz.

Diaz throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rassi has his hands clasped together but Diaz breaks the hold and Rassi is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Diaz!
